Ron D. Walters was appointed to the Alcohol, Drug and Mental Health Board (ADAMH) by the Franklin County Board of Commissioners. His appointment runs through June 30, 2020. Walters has serviced as President for three terms to Consumer and Family Advocacy Council (CFAC), a voluntary group of individuals who are either recovering from mental illness or drug and alcohol addiction themselves. He served as a Chairman on the PAMI committee. He participated in the Governor's mental health study in 1988. He is also a member of the Community Housing Network Client Advisory Committee and a member of the Attorney Generals Criminal Justice and Mental Illness Task Force.
