Franklin County PEER Voices Educational Series: Trauma Informed Peer Support

The PEER Center is excited to continue our new PEER Voices Educational Series! This presentation is for peers, by peers and aimed toward professionalizing the workforce for Peer Recovery Supporters in Franklin County. The second in the series is focused on Trauma Informed Peer Support.The goal of Trauma Informed Peer Support will be to provide Ohio Peer Supporters with the understanding, tools, and resources needed to engage in culturally responsive, trauma-informed peer support relationships with anyone, especially those with lived trauma experiences.

Participants will be able to do the following:

  • Recognize trauma symptoms
  • Know the possible impact of long term trauma
  • Know skills necessary to provide universal trauma informed peer support
  • Become reacquainted with the principles of Peer Support competencies and application

****Snacks will be provided by The P.E.E.R. Center****

******Priority for seating availability will be given to Franklin County residents*******
