Implicit Bias Training

December 11 @ 9:00 am - 4:30 pm

Join the Kirwan Institute for a free implicit bias training and earn three CEU hours of Ethics!

Implicit bias refers to the attitudes or stereotypes that affect our understanding, actions, and decision in an unconscious manner. These biases, which encompass both favorable and unfavorable assessments, are activated involuntarily and without an individual’s awareness or intentional control. This training will help you understand these biases and how they affect you and your clients.

By the end of this training participants will be able to:

  • Understand what implicit bias is and how it operates
  • Identify susceptibility to unwanted bias
  • Examine the ethical implications of bias for your clients
  • Explore individual and institutional interventions

Two training sessions:

Morning session from 9:00 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.

Afternoon session from 1:00 p.m. – 4:15 p.m.
