Become certified in Mental Health First Aid
The Alcohol, Drug and Mental Health Board of Franklin County (ADAMH) and Mental Health America of Franklin County (MHAFC) will offer Mental Health First Aid courses in Columbus in 2017. Just as CPR helps even those without clinical training assist an individual having a heart attack, Mental Health First Aid prepares participants to interact with a person experiencing a mental health crisis.
You can earn your Mental Health First Aid certification at one of this-hour course. The course will be held at ADAMH, 447 East Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215 on November 14, 2017 (8 a.m. – 5 p.m., lunch included)
There is no cost to you. You can register for these courses at this link on Mental Health America Franklin County’s website: http://mhafc.org/get-help/workplace-community-program/mental-health-first-aid/.
