The Problem Gambling Network of Ohio (PGNO) will host a free Gambling Disorder Case Presentation on Aug. 12 from noon-1:30 p.m. This session in the series will highlight the success of the Ohio Warm Transfer project with a case of partnership between treatment and operation. It all started when a patron approached Ed Dick, compliance manager at JACK Entertainment, expressing concern for their own gambling behavior. Thanks to the partnership between Ohio for Responsible Gambling and PGNO with the properties, Ed was able to connect the patron with Ken Buzzelli, a warm transfer counselor. In this session, Ken will discuss the ways he’s engaged with this individual since receiving the referral and how they are working on behavior change. Ed will provide a short educational piece on employee training and the importance of responsible gambling. The session will end by highlighting the Ohio Model and the importance of collaboration in helping those in need. 1.50 CEUs are available.
