The Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OhioMHAS) Bureau of Recovery Supports, in partnership with Multiethnic Advocates for Cultural Competence (MACC) Inc., will host two “Implementing Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) Standards” trainings in September. The training provides recommendations to health care organizations for addressing language and cultural barriers to adequately meet the needs of a population growing in diversity, and provides a blueprint for establishing community engagement and includes recommendations on conducting community assessments. While the trainings are geared toward Residential Facility Class 2 (RF2) providers, they are open to anyone. Virtual trainings are scheduled for Sept. 7 at 1 p.m. and Sept. 14 at 9 a.m. Click the links for registration information.
