Gaining Ground

Often, the pain from a traumatic loss can feel like a catch-22. The more we try to ignore it, avoid it or run from it, the more powerful it becomes. But the good news about bereavement is that even amid unfathomable grief, there is insight to be gained. What if, using that understanding, we could discover purpose and presence in our pain?

Our purpose may give our life direction and being present might allow us to learn from our journey. After all, it is in the middle of great pain that we find great passion. It is here that we reach inside and discover what we are truly made of. And then, when that happens, our pain becomes our strength.

The truth is grief guides us to rebuild fulfilling and meaningful lives. And what a beautiful way to honor our lost loved ones.

Please join us for the G.AP. Network’s virtual “Gaining Ground” conference on April 21 and 22. Hosted by Prevention Action Alliance, this inspiring two-day conference will focus on healing from grief and advocating for the prevention of substance misuse.
