Columbus Public Health

This is a full-time, general fund position in the Family Health Division (Alcohol and Drug Services) at Columbus Public Health. The selected candidate will provide Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) for clients in the Comprehensive Treatment Program. The incumbent will administer and prescribe medication, collect specimens, interpret laboratory results, diagnose. They will also provide oversight on the management and care of clients while collaborating with the Medical Director, clinicians and other staff members. Preferred experience and training: Possession of a certificate to prescribe with prescriptive authority, at least one (1) year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or at least three (3) years of experience as a Registered Nurse; possession of a waiver to prescribe Buprenorphine or ability to complete the specified 24 hours of education to secure a waiver; ability to work with diverse populations highly preferred.
