Community Advocate

Choices for Victims of Domestic Violence (LSSCO)

CHOICES is in search of a Community Advocate to serve as a direct service provider to adult domestic violence victims and survivors, who do not require shelter, for crisis intervention and stabilization, assessment, education, referral and/or linkage with community services. The advocate is also responsible for the maintenance program linkages and liaison with other organizations as assigned; is to maintain professional standards within the context of CHOICES ethics statement, values, legal mandates and certifications in her/his conduct; to stimulate cooperative and coordinated service delivery; to provide a communication link between CHOICES and the other community agencies; and to provide information and recommendations for the quality of services provided.

Four year degree, preferably in social work, or equivalent experience required; as is experience in providing direct services in some segment of the human services field; LSW preferred. LSS is an EOE/M/D/V/F
