Position Summary
As part of the Franklin County ADAMH Workforce Development Council initiatives, MHAOhio is piloting a Leadership Academy program for mid-level managers at ADAMH provider organizations. The long-term aim of this program is to create enduring, positive change in Franklin County’s community behavioral health workforce by enhancing the capacity of middle managers to serve as effective leaders to frontline staff and contributing to their development as future senior leaders. Funding is available to support two consecutive six-month cohorts with continuation funding anticipated. Participants will attend the National Council for Mental Wellbeing’s Middle Management Academy and participate in follow-up cohort meetings and additional trainings. Within MHAOhio’s Workplace Health department, the Leadership Academy Program Manager will lead the program development and implementation efforts.

Reports to the Director of Workplace Health
Schedule
Work hours are generally 8:30 am – 5:00 pm Monday through Friday, flexible based upon work demands; opportunities for hybrid in-office/at-home work; fulltime exempt position.
Leadership Academy Program Manager Responsibilities
Program development, which will determine:
· Participant eligibility requirements
· Application and selection process
· Outcome measures
· The content of the supplementary training curriculum
· Timeframe, schedule, and cadence of trainings
· Participating agency leadership engagement
Program implementation, which will include:
· Program promotion, outreach/recruitment
· Overseeing application and selection processes
· Promoting inclusive practices, addressing biases, and fostering an environment where all participants feel valued and respected
· Managing relationships with training partners (National Council for Mental Wellbeing and others)
· Managing all communication with participants and their agencies
· Managing all program logistics
· Facilitating cohort peer support and relationship building opportunities
· Overseeing program evaluation
· Writing final outcomes report
· Implementing improvements in the next year based on outcomes
Other Responsibilities
· Working with Workplace Health Director on preparing program budgets
· Preparing regular reports for funder(s)
· Other duties, within reason and scope of the position’s primary duties, assigned only after consultation between employee and supervisor
Qualifications
· Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in a field related to social work, public health, mental health, healthcare management, or business
· Three years’ experience in program management and development, preferably within the behavioral health or nonprofit sectors
· An understanding of systemic inequities and the ability to apply an equity lens to all aspects of the program
· Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing
· A good listener and strategist, comfortable receiving input from many sources, and able to act on information to develop successful programming
· Outstanding decision-making skills and judgment, and the ability to contribute to a collaborative team, and be people-centric
· Ability to work effectively with diverse people and communities, understanding and respecting different cultural perspectives and lived experiences
· Ability to work well independently and within a multi-disciplinary team environment, managing multiple priorities with efficiency and organization
· Demonstrated attention and accuracy to detail
· Ability to fulfill assignments with reliability and adherence to deadlines
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
Salary range: $48,000-$53,000 commensurate with experience and other qualifications.
