Primary Responsibilities/Expected Outcomes:
Maintains desktop and peripheral environments including workstations, thin clients, and laptops.
Maintains daily performance and security of workstations through patch management.
Installs hardware, software, and peripheral equipment at the direction of the IT Director
Maintains hardware and software inventories.
Analyzes and designs small and/or simple computer systems with assistance from high-level systems analyst or team leader.
Assists network manager with server and network tasks as assigned.
Maintains the Board’s SharePoint intranet.
Interfaces and directs external IT vendors as needed.
Performs other duties requiring similar skills.
Core Competencies/Demonstrated Skills:
Education: Associate’s Degree in computer science, computer management, or equivalent experience.
Experience: One year management information services experience, including 6 months experience managing and maintaining
SharePoint, utilizing encryption, and patching software. Knowledge of virtual server environments desired.
Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Able to work effectively in a team environment with a wide variety of culturally diverse consumers, staff and public.
Able to adapt to changing environments by using problem solving, analytical and team building skills.
Able to operate effectively as part of a team as leader and team member.
Able to apply new developments to current situations.
Able to effectively oversee complex projects by providing open two-way communication that supports identification and
achievement of outcomes.
