Help is only a phone call away!

I helped a family that…lost everything in a fire [and] at the same time some of them had COVID-19…I helped them find local resources…I referred them to ETSS for food gift cards, some clothing, and household things. I referred them for COVID-19 appointment check-ups. Now, the family has an apartment, their son started work, and the father and mother started receiving SSI.

During the month of February 2021, I saw a resident I had not seen in over a month. When I last saw him, he was struggling with addiction and wanted to stop…I offered him resources, support and checked-in on him. When I saw him again after over a month of not seeing him, I asked about his sobriety. He said he's had four weeks clean! He informed me that he enjoyed having me around and that my support was part of the reason he pushed himself to begin his path to sobriety.

“…the gifts they received made a huge difference to the kids and helped relieve some of the financial burden and stress off of the single mother.”

“…this program [she was referred to] helped her pay her electric bill.”

“Now, the family got an apartment, their son started work, and father and more started receiving SSI.”
