Aric Schauer was appointed to the Alcohol, Drug and Mental Health Board of Franklin County by the Ohio Department of Behavioral Health. His appointment runs through June 30, 2029. Aric is an upperclassman at the Ohio State University's John Glenn College of Public Affairs, where he studies public policy analysis with a focus on economic justice and workers' rights. On campus, he serves as a building manager at the Ohio Union, the university's student center, and is the elected president of Phi Alpha Delta, the largest pre-law organization at OSU. He is also a student leader in civic engagement through Ohio State's OSU Votes initiative and conducts independent data analysis to support voter outreach and engagement strategies. Drawing from his lived experience, Aric is committed to advancing mental health awareness and reducing stigma in his community.
