A Vision for Mental Health: The Mission of the Franklin County Crisis Care Center

The Franklin County Crisis Care Center was created to provide accessible and compassionate mental health and addiction services to those in crisis. Its goal is to create a safe space where individuals can receive immediate support and guidance, fostering recovery and resilience. 

The Alcohol, Drug and Mental Health Board of Franklin County partnered with community stakeholders to plan, fund and build the Franklin County Crisis Care Center. This new center provides a safe, secure location offering a full range of integrated mental health and addiction services. With a no-wrong-door approach, the facility ensures any adult in need receives care, reinforcing its role as the preferred destination for mental health crises in Franklin County.

Located at 465 Harmon Ave., the center is centrally located to be easily accessible to Franklin County residents. 

Innovative Services: A Full-Spectrum of Services to Meet the Needs of Those in Crisis

The Franklin County Crisis Care Center’s innovative services encompass everything from immediate walk-in support to long-term stabilization. The facility is designed to meet individuals where they are, offering care at all levels of crisis intervention.

    • 24/7 Crisis Stabilization: A welcoming environment for individuals in acute distress, staffed round the clock by dedicated professionals.

    • Community Linkage Services: On-site connections to housing, mental health and substance use treatment providers.
    • Pharmacy Services: Automated medication dispensing ensures safe and efficient access to prescriptions.
    • Substance Use Disorder Treatments: Detox services, medication-assisted treatment and ongoing care integration.
    • Medical Services: Urgent care level of medical service to avoid hospital transfers when possible.
    • Family Support Services: Support for families, partners and friends who may come in with a loved one in crisis.
