Joseph Garrity was appointed to the ADAMH Board by the Franklin County Board of Commissioners. His appointment runs through June 30, 2029. Joseph is the Senior Director of Government Affairs and Community Relations at the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC), where he leads government affairs, membership, investment initiatives and event planning. He also manages the Columbus Region Coalition, collaborating with elected officials, business leaders and nonprofits to support the growth of central Ohio, ensuring that the region gets better as it grows bigger, while serving its 90+ local government members. With over a decade of experience in public policy, Joseph has served at the state, federal and regional levels. He also serves on the Columbus Chamber Government Affairs Steering Committee and is Vice Chair of the Columbus International Visitors Council. Joe was named a 2022 40 Under 40 honoree by Columbus Business First and participated in the 2023 Leadership Columbus Class. He holds a bachelor’s in specialized studies from Ohio University, a master’s in applied politics from the University of Akron and a master’s in public administration and leadership from The Ohio State University.
