ADAMH-Funded School Services - ADAMH Board of Franklin County

ADAMH-Funded School Services

ADAMH partners with providers within our System of Care to offer prevention and intervention services in 16 Franklin County public school districts. Every school district has a relationship with a provider that supports the mental health needs of students, their families and teachers with programs focused on:

  • Prevention and Early Intervention: Programs that support youth mental wellness, substance use prevention, suicide and violence prevention and healthy coping strategies.
  • Assessment and Counseling: Screening, individual and small-group counseling and early intervention for students at risk of anxiety, depression or substance use.
  • Support and Education for Schools and Families: Consultations, parent workshops, community trainings and professional development for school staff.
  • Student Engagement: Youth-led prevention initiatives and drug-free social and recreational activities to promote healthy behaviors.
  • Crisis and Referral Services: On-site crisis support, resource linkage and referrals for additional care when needed.

If a student needs immediate help because their behavior is putting them at risk of hurting themselves or others, contact the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Youth Crisis Line at 614.722.1800.
