SUMMARY

Working closely with members of St. Vincent Family Services (SVFS) Development & Marketing Team, leads the researching, writing, management and reporting of grant efforts, in alignment with the agency’s development plan. Primary responsibilities will include managing the agency’s grant programs, including researching prospective grant opportunities, writing funding applications; managing grant projects and coordinating grant reporting. Will support the development, growth, and awareness of the agency’s mission and vision through grant projects, as it aligns with the agency’s strategic efforts. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESSPONSIBILITES 

  • Contributes to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for our clients, colleagues and community partners from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
  • Integrates principles of Trauma Informed Care in all aspects of work.
  • Is sensitive to the children’s culture and socioeconomic characteristics that delivers the best possible care to the youth and families served.
  • Researches, initiates, coordinates and writes grant proposals that support SVFS programs, projects and campaigns.
  • Upon review by the CEO and the Development Manager, submits final grant proposals to funding sources.
  • Coordinates and maintains grant management and reporting requirements. 
    Works with the Development Manager and select staff in the development, implementation and evaluation of grants.
  • Creates annual grant calendar that identifies priority grant opportunities with quarterly deadlines.
  • Works collaboratively with the Finance Dept. on grants management reporting deadlines and submits all required reports on time with approval from identified leaders.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES 

May require supervision of volunteers.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or equivalent work experience required.
  • Previous non-profit Development experience preferred. 
  • Prior grant writing experience -required.

Certificates/Licenses: 

Requires a valid Ohio Driver’s License, valid automobile insurance and valid vehicle registration.
