Providing healing and hope to those affected by suicide loss

September is Suicide Prevention Month. It's a time to raise awareness about the steps we all can take to prevent suicide and to remind us that suicide can affect anyone, regardless of their background or circumstances. LOSS Community Services, an Alcohol Drug and Mental Health Board of Franklin County (ADAMH)-funded agency, recognizes that a critical aspect of prevention is postvention — counseling and other social care given after the experience of a traumatic event, especially to those directly affected by a suicide loss.
