Who We Are

APDS provides prevention education classes to male perpetrators for the intervention and prevention of domestic violence. We provide a 9-week summer day camp for 120 youth ages 6 to 12 with a focus on social emotional learning and character counts development. APDS is certified by the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OhioMHAS).

Who We Are

Amethyst, an Alvis recovery program, provides gender responsive, integrated behavioral healthcare treatment for women with and without children. Amethyst provides a safe, stable environment to support recovery for mothers and their children. Services include assessment, intensive outpatient treatment, outpatient treatment, recovery housing, and mental health supports. Children up to age 18 can live with their mother while she is in treatment. Children receive educational support, prevention services, and referrals to additional services per assessed needs.

Who We Are

Columbus Public Health (CPH) protects the health and improves the lives of nearly 1 million residents through 40+ programs, while addressing public health challenges such as opiates, violence, health disparities and infant mortality. CPH is a nationally accredited leader that identifies health priorities, mobilizes resources and ensures the conditions in which ALL residents can be healthy. Alcohol & Drug Services programming includes: Comprehensive Treatment Program (walk-in assessments, gender specific, holistic, intensive outpatient treatment groups, & Medication Assisted Treatment), Prevention Services (support and education groups for children and young adults to build coping and resiliency skills), and Harm Reduction Services (consultation, referrals, STI/HIV testing education, naloxone distribution and fentanyl test strips distribution). Services are offered to the uninsured, no one will be turned away.

Who We Are

Huckleberry House works with youth and families who are dealing with some of the most difficult problems imaginable. Issues like abuse, violence, neglect, poverty, and homelessness. They offer proven programs and committed people who know how to help young people and families take control of their lives so they can move past the circumstances they’re in and move toward the future they want. The Huckleberry House is a 24-hour safe and supportive alternative to life on the streets for teens. Services provided by the Huck House include: a crisis intervention and emergency shelter program, a transitional living program for youth who don’t have a safe place to live, street outreach to help link youth and family to community supports, family support services including individual and family counseling, project safe place to help transport to our shelter, community education for parents and teens on runaway prevention and community events surrounding families and teenagers in crisis.

The Buckeye Ranch restores hope and provides healing to children, youth, and families through family-focused, trauma-informed, mental health treatment and services for behavioral, psychological and substance use disorders. The Ranch currently serves more than 5,000 children, youth, and families every year at six locations, across nearly half the counties in Ohio. The Buckeye Ranch provides a comprehensive continuum of care for children, youth and families. Services include intensive residential, foster care, intensive in-home counseling and case management, medication management, education-based mental health day treatment, prevention services, Somali Outreach Program, Transitional Age housing and case management services, and substance use treatment for youth.

Who We Are

The Urban Minority Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Outreach Program of Franklin County, Inc. (UMADAOPFC) is designed to deliver Substance Use Disorder (SUD) prevention services to youth and families in Franklin County, primarily in South Linden, and Reentry services in Franklin County. UMADAOPFC strives to help youth and adults build healthy, SUD and violence free lives. Prevention programs provide education, mentoring, youth led, community, and social activities through in-school, after-school, and summer programs. Community events are also provided in collaboration with community partners. UMADAOPFC also provides Reentry services in Franklin County, assisting adults reentering society from incarceration in building healthy, non-criminalized lifestyles. The reentry program provides education classes and mentoring services and connects participants to other necessary services, such as employment, housing, and education.
